Sure it's helping. And I'd imagine that the actual rank-and-file people involved in the project are doing it out of a sense of service and wanting to help these women.

However, as far as the corporate motives, it's always one of two things--conversion or PR. I'd imagine that in this case it's totally for good PR. They need it so desperately.
