I feel it is important to honor that promise we all made. Just a few points.

1. There is no convincing evidence that the lord has any anointed people around

2. Not sure there is a lord in the sense they mean.

3. Which lord if there happens to be more than one?

4. Calling the church leaders (who are not anointed by any lord that I have ever heard of) on their $#!t when they are lying, being tyrannical, engaging in unethical and/or illegal behavior, or are just plain wrong is not speaking evil of them. The problem with Mormonism is that by the nature of the religion being a fraud, the leaders are by default usually wrong.

Everything is an attempt to inoculate in mormonism. 'even the elect will be deceived', and 'Do not speak evil of the Lord's annointed,' and all that other BS.

Exactly! Everyday mormons, when confronted with logic & truth, auto-default to "Anti!".
The truth has morphed into "anti-mormon" behavior.
Even though many truths have shown up in their own essays, they can manage to convince themselves, if you bring it up, it's "Anti".

To me, anointing is a silly exercise so I wouldn't give much respect to anyone who would submit to it.

All religions are man made. God doesn't anoint anyone over you. The only power that religions have is that which you give them.

Anyone who thinks he is above criticism is probably in deep need of it.

So, what do the Lord's anointed say about us who have been un-anointed? I've been called a covenant breaker, an apostate, an adulterer, and unworthy (these were said behind my back); I've been told to my face that I'm a good man. BTW, it took many years to convince Mrs. Boner that there was no adultery! The Chaste Boner.

Easy Answer: ENDURE TO THE END. Which means: do what we say, let us do the thinking, don't question or second guess us, stay off the internet, trust us not to lead you astray, stay on the old ship zion, read the BoM daily, always share your testimony at every chance you get, sing those praises of the restoration, and above all pay your tithing and STAND UP when we walk into the room.

I never stood up for any of the church echelon and don't plan on starting now.

Nor would I bow, curtsy, salute, or kneel down and pray to any of their snarly asses.

I'm not "anti-authoritarian." I am anti-Mormon authoritarian.

As for whether they are the "lord's anointed?" There is no way in hell!
