Doctrine is what you learn about the church on Sunday.

Policy is what you learn about the church in the news.

*** *** ***

Policy is the stuff churches need to look like they’re legal.

Doctrine is the stuff legal entities need to look like a church.

Interesting observations...

But TSCC has never looked like a church to me.

Doctrine is in Sunday School manuals

Policy is in the Bishop's handbook that you aren't supposed to see.

Are the Articles of Faith DOctrine or Policy?

This new policy IGNORES the 2nd Article of Faith for sure. So they ignoring Doctrine.

Isn't ignoring doctrine a reason to get Ex'd? When I questioned doctrine and authority I got basically kicked out.

GAWD what a FUCKED CULT! So happy I was kicked out.

Doctrine, since they are canonize they can't easily change them. Instead they ignore them and pretend they don't know what you are talking about

"they ignore them and pretend they don't know what you are talking about"

... and this is another indication that it's doctrine.

Policy is just an excuse for doctrine to change over time. Nothing fancy. Just a deceptive trick.

Do they both require obedience?

Effectively no different.

If it has been changed, it was policy.
If it hasn't been changed, it's doctrine.

Then the list of policy grows rapidly, as doctrine diminishes.

Doctrine is the made up stuff that is written down, memorized and quoted from. The newer it is, the better. Old doctrine really isn't that important, because newer prophets supercede older ones.

Policy is the made up rules that are generally told to you by word of mouth; however, they may also be written down for the elect few who are in charge of controlling everyone else.
