Might be big fun to exchange the typed out recipe cards the kids use to read the sacrament prayer inserting the "H"

Not sure if anyone would notice in the congregation when "O god the eternal father, we ask thee in the name of thy son, Jesus H. Christ" is uttered.

My guess is a few giggles would happen, a bishop would quietly ask for the sacrament to be reblesses, but perhaps have to explain to the kid why.

Should liven things up a little in Sac meeting.

I know you prayed about it & conventional wisdom says "H", but every time my Dad hit his thumb with a hammer or stubbed his toe, it was 'Jesus Fuckin' Christ".

Mainstream academic scholars of early Christianity tell us that it is highly unlikely that the historical Jesus even had a last name, let alone a middle name. Only a tiny minority of individuals living at that time and in that culture had last names, and they were only found among the "upper crust."

But, there's also a historical account of him from the '70's.
"Jesus Christ Superstar" See- he had 3 names.

>"it is highly unlikely that the historical Jesus even had a last name, let alone a middle name."

In that case, maybe he didn't have a first or last name, but the H stands just stands for "hey".

I have had this argument with certain people on this page before. It is NOT Jesus H. Christ. It is Jesus F. Christ, and when a person understands what the F is for (and its not Fielding) then they also understand why LDS Inc is so averse to using it/ having it mentioned. WHich is kind of Ironic since the MORmON version of Jesus is so Lower Head Lord as MORmON Jesus was the one who commanded polygamy to be instituted, starting with a teen age maid. Besides, Christ is a title, not really a last name, the way that dunder head MORmONS typically use it.

It's actually for Heber, king of the hebes.

Pretty sure my folks were grooming themseves an apostle when they gave me a first name that sounds just like the letter k.

K Reginald Shumway has a rather apostolic aura I'd say.

I learned from the film Blues Brothers that his full name is Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ.

who routinely says, when maximally frustrated, "Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ!"

It's much funnier in context, believe me.
