Boston church leaders planned to shorten the tree hour block on Sundays in order to let members spend more time with their families. After being reminded by headquarters that changing the length of meetings is against policy they changed their minds. They can't have local leaders acting out on their own and members spending too much time with their families. Control must be kept!

Really on the front page?

The best part of that article is the Stepford family in the front pew in the LDS Inc provided photo.

Second best part is that Dehlin is clearly becoming the LDS, Inc leak site that the media is watching for LDS scoops.

Can't have local leaders leading locally.

The scheduling has been done. Don't mess with headquarters.

It's no wonder that they are not talking about extending the meetings to better observe the sabbath.

That couple in the picture sure get around.

Why just last week they were Baptists:
http://gbcshelton.org/about-grace-baptist-church

And the week before I saw them at the Church of Christ:
http://www.schenectadychurchofchrist.com/

If they're really in search of shorter service times, they need to go nondenominational.

I'm actually kind of sad that these folks are stock images. Look at their faces--their expressions read cult, cult, cult. The Mom looks like she's dropped some Valium! The Boner.

The image appears a lot on the international network of LDS sites. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a genuine LDS image, and some religious webmasters are cutting a few corners.

Their clothes and baby sure suggest Mormonism. The only thing missing is the quiet book.

I'm inclined to say if no Cheerios are visible, it can't be genuine LDS. But I've been away for several decades now.

LOL! And sounds like YOU get around, too, because apparently recognized them from church. You really do need to cut back on your church attendance, LMSH.

You just need to be more righteous. Like, if you paid tithing and didn't have anything left for food, he'd probably be calling you right now to tell you that he's coming by to pay back that $20 he owes you.

I actually know these 'Mormons'! Don't know where they live now but they were some of the 'few' token Hispanics that actually attend 'regular' wards because they actually do fit into the American LDS culture.

Mama's little baby loves shortening, shortening. Mama's little baby loves shortening blocks. Three little children sittin' in pews, two of them bored and the other confused. Sent for the bishop and the bishop talked, free them children with shortened blocks.

Wow. A Stake President going rogue. Pretty impressive. I hope he gets tired of not being able to make his own decisions for his flock. Maybe he will join our club some day.

Watch out folks!

People are starting to think for themselves!

Kate Kelly, you are hereby given a new name. Pandora, because you've helped blow this up.
