Is there any info on how each one are related to the current ones?

I know they would not select a random person.

A friend of mine (TBM) asked me if I was going to watch conference. I ended up asking him if he had a guess who was going to be selected as a new apostle. He gave me his guess. I asked him if the guy was related to anyone. He said no. I told him that it wasnt going to happen. They need to be related to get selected.

I was right, his guess wasnt selected.

I am wondering the same thing.

Rasband and Stevenson both hail from "pioneer stock", Renlund being the son of immigrants is the exception.

But all three were related by kinship, business association, or friendship ties. It is not like the apostles were not on the best of terms with these guys. one was COO of Huntsman, for gods sake.

Yes, I had read about the Huntsman connection. Of course there are business connections, that's the bread and butter of LDS Inc.

Apparently Renlund's father-in-law was a general authority in the early 1990s. But I assume he was called because of his "immigrant background" you know. Diversity.
