My best friend tells me that he and many of his companions used to cuss a lot on their missions when no one could hear. I have a hard time imagining Raptor not letting loose A few times on his mission. How about the rest of you? The Boner.

I seldom cuss; it seems so Low Class to me, a substitute for being otherwise articulate.

A touch of decorum is a nice touch when people are often hurtful towards each other, both In the Morg & otherwise.

(maybe) just my .02, NOT 'I'm better than you/anyone'

That is what Spencer W. Kimball said, so it must be true. ;)

I don't see a connection between cussing and intelligence or class (unless it's the Victorian Era where they screwed around and smoked opium, but didn't curse).

Be sides, it's healthy: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/hide-and-seek/201205/hell-yes-the-7-best-reasons-swearing

A bunch of us decided that everyone was already cursing up a storm by using words like fetch, shoot, darn, etc. Grammatically and emotionally, those were cursewords. They were just dishonest curse words.

So we decided that in the name of honesty and integrity, we were going to use the real words. It seemed more genuine than the rest of the mission experience; it made us feel closer to each other.

I had a companion(we were both white and from Utah). He would cuss constantly. I asked him to stop once, but that just led to him to drop more f bombs and say "I'm not only going to swear, but I'm also going to call you what you really are, a f'ing n-word."

He proceeded to call me a f'ing n-word whenever we were alone in the apartment. He was a real class act. I later found out him and his old comp tried to grow weed in the apartment before I was transferred there.

Frankly the rules only apply to the low level missionaries. The high ranking missionaries can do whatever they want (with the blind indifference of the Mission President I assume). My mission President put missionaries who had behavior problems in the office instead of on the streets so that they could do paperwork all day and then goof off. I personally witnessed the Assistants to the president playing Super Nintendo, shooting strangers across the street sniper style with BB guns, shooting each other with BB guns, texting young single adult woman, etc... I even saw some zone leaders watch porn. I just kept my mouth shut about it. I knew the church wasn't true and so I wasn't going to make a scene.
