So watched Django last night, again. The horror that was slavery in the united states, and probably still exists elsewhere. I don'tknow how much of it is real, but any of it is horror.

I noticed it was 2 years before the civil war. So by was in and in utah. did utah have slaves then? was utah considered, what? Oh wait, it wasn't a state, right?

I love that movie, ,the end, because it showsthat evildoesn't always prevail.

So what was the opinion of "tscfc" then about slavery?

Django Unchained is not a remake or sequel to that film. They are completely unrelated despite the fact that both main characters share the same name. Did you even watch the movie?

And Django Unchained IS inspired by the original. I wouldn't call it a remake, more like a re-imagining. Tarantino has stated many times he's been inspired by spaghetti westerns, even in films like Kill Bill I and II. Do YOU even bother to read interviews and articles with Tarantino? You can't be bothered to take 2 seconds to google something?

Slavery was legal in the Utah Territory, due to the Compromise of 1850, until 1862 when Congress abolished slavery in the territories. There were some African-American slaves in the Utah Territory, but the practice was never widespread, nor was it a large part of the economic system like it was in the Confederacy.
