The poor little picked on priests and apostles in Salt Lake City just keep getting bullied in hallways of the media.

1.Supreme Court of the USA gang bangs them with the Same Sex Marriage ruling.

2. The Boy Scouts of America throw down the flaming "as in flaming gay" gauntlet right at their feet AND the BSA had the nerve (balls) to do it when two apostles recently croaked and IN the month of July when the Brethren are officially on vacation the entire month, (meaning they're on a mental vacation more than they are the remaining eleven months of the year.) How entitled does the Morg have to get to take offense at the BSA not consulting with THEM regarding the announcement?!

3. LDS enrollment in the BSA is trending down as well. (Probably due to lower birth rates among Mormons and possibly due to the wave of apostasy sweeping the kingdom?)

4. Poor Jeffrey Holland is really taking on it hard on the jowl because he was recently placed on the board of the BSA to strong arm (He should have threatened them with Laban's sword) them into retaining their Bigoted Scouts of America BSA policy. Well Brother Jeffers, you failed miserably in still another public display of impotence, incompetence and blubbery.

I wonder what else is down the repugnant road of embarrassment for the big boys at the top of the holy heap of Moism? Can it get any worse? How many dead on salvos can this sinking ship soak up?

You can't write fiction any better than this unfolding story, unless you're initials are JS and you keep a rock and your head in a hat.

You'd think that somewhere in the COB or the CAB there is at least one person that is bright enough to say:

"Maybe we should stop shooting our selves in the foot."

I'll bet at least one has! Then another will pipe up and say, "Well, we still have all this ammunition." TSM then says, "Let's go shooting!"

And someone pulls the trigger while the gun still hasn't been raised.

A sad case of shot-foot-in-mouth.

the truth than you may be aware.

Thomas Monson has always been an avid bird hunter. According to the stake president I once served under as a high counselor he and Monson would regularly head out to the south shore of the Great Salt Lake to the church property known as the ASARCO. Cattle were raised there but there were great water patches for bird hunting.

I once helped de-horn cattle on the ASARCO one saturday with ward youth as a service project.

When Spencer Kimball gave his famous "Don't shoot the birdies" speech in priesthood general conference guess who was sitting right behind him, Tommy Gun Toten Monson.

Imagine the uproar if Monson once upon a time actually shot a seagull and the video clip ended up on YouTube. (I have no idea if Monson ever shot a gull but if he had he would not be the first, even though gulls are the state bird. LOL)

Joseph F. Smith also made an anti-hunting statement. Something to the effect of, It saddened him to hear the barage of shotguns on opening morning. ( I'd have to disturbe dust on a shelf to get the exact quote, and that isn't going to happen).

Somehow that sentiment didn't catch on.

If Monte Brough had made prophet, instead of 'Let's go shopping!' he would have shouted 'Let's go shooting!'. (see thread 'Cecil the lion and Monte Brough)

Or to use another proverb: when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
