I believe "The Church" has done more damage to marriages via the organizational obsession with porn, than if they would actually help the chronic users.

Also, the fastest growing demographic watching porn is women. Yet if you listen to Gollum Packer only men touch themselves.

I know I am preaching to the cliche-d choir, but at BYUI (Ricks College really) evertime a young man goes into an interview now, apparently he is going to be asked if he rubs his rhubarb. You would think this Stalin-ist type approach would slow down somehow.

There is not doubt in my mind. When my guilt ended my obsession with porn ended.

I mean I stopped feeling guilty. Then since I didn't feel bad I wasn't constantly reminded. Then just thought about other things more. And I stopped feeling the need to look at it. I didn't feel like it had some mysterious evil power.

Gold and Blue-Green Balls.

Reading the post quickly, and not very thoroughly, originally I thought it was about marriage (and the pressure to marry in TSCC)
[I believe "The Church" has done more damage to marriages...] and so I answered accordingly, referring to Mormon dances.

Can anyone say 'blue balls'?

TMC has many ways it does damage... always superseding any good it may or may not do, directly or indirectly.

it seems that the LDS view of people, particularly families/marriages... is only one of fulfilling pre-determined roles, which are understood as near to perfection ('exactness') as wildly imaginable.

Yes, it is amazing. TSCC continues to ratchet up its spiritual fascism in the face of overwhelming evidence that it has the opposite effect from what they want.

TSCC is like an airliner with dead pilots. It's only still flying because it's on autopilot.
