YESCO is a roadside advertising sign company. It is owned (or at least was back in the early '90s) by Mormons in Utah.

YESCO is an acronym for Young Electric Sign Company. You can guess where the surname Young came from.

They just had an electronic billboard hacked and the hackers uploaded a naughty image on it. This was in Atlanta.

Interesting that the hack occurred shortly after a paid computer security expert warned them, apparently looking to secure a contractor position with them to help them with their security, but they blew him off.

My first thought was, "I wonder if the security expert hacked them in order to get them to hire him?"

Of course I have no evidence to support that, but if I were involved in trying to find out who hacked the signs, I'd look at the security expert first :)

I guess YESCO thought gawd would protect their signs...oops :)

Kinda related to this post and kinda off topic... but it reminded me of the new electronic billboard (Yesco) in Orem on I-15 (Northbound). The billboard is for funlove.com. It is very minimalistic and and I wasn't even sure what "funlove.com" was (although I had an inkling by the name...). It's just surprising that that billboard is in the heart of "mormonville"
