My grandma used to be a piano teacher. Luckily, I was too hyper as a kid and she got too frustrated trying to get me to sit down. I seriously feel bad for all the talented musicians who had/have to dumb themselves down to keep their playing "church appropriate" and play ALL THE TIME just because they could. I would go insane.

As a performing musician of 10+years,played alot of Protestant churches when first learning to play in public.Played alot of Flatt&Scruggs(i am banjo picker)..songs like ,"Good Things"and "Preachin',Prayin',Singin' Everywhere,"...usually got fed good home cooking. When Sister Molly-Mo Nose-In-The_Air told me stringed instruments were not allowed in the sanctuary.I skeddadled...knew no way was that a sanctuary.

was frustrating because it was so boring, and people would ask me to play stuff I hated. I didn't feel like I could say no.
