I don't think I've ever been thrilled about my friends' choices for mates, but with one exception they've all had long happy marriages. So you never know. I would give her the benefit of the doubt.

Oh I'm sure all their dreams will come true. He will be a doctor make lots of money and she will get busy popping out those kids. He will become the bishop then stake prez. She will be little miss molly all her life.

That's not comforting. :(

I thought I had one genuine friend in TSCC. She got married at 19 in a temple wedding.

But it turned out we were not genuine friends. I didn't know she was engaged to this guy she married, even though I knew him. (It is a long complicated story.) I wasn't invited to her bridal shower. & I wasn't technically invited to her reception. I went with my grandparents.

The fact she had to keep her engagement secret really hurt me. I know there were circumstances surrounding that, but she thought I was too stupid & immature to deal with it. She deeply underestimated me.
