Kymba was one of the first people I spoke with, Timothy, too.

So many different folks.

Some seriously weird stuff happened over that time. Some that it's probably best not to mention.

But we got through it, one way or another, all thanks to Eric who enabled the whole thing.

Thank you, Eric. We owe you lots.

As another old timer... I could not agree more! Nicely stated Matt!

I remember the original board software, it was cute. If you put an @ in a post it would create a bogus hyperlink to nowhere!

Agora! THAT was the name of it!

RFM saved me from returning to my old, Mormon ways and showed me a better way - my own.

Thank you, Eric for providing a safe place in cyberspace and thanks to everyone who has and continues to share their story.

God, mentioning Kymba ....I had forgotten all about her

till you mentioned her. She was crazy about her pets.

Does anyone ever talk to her or know what happened to her ?

Meeting you and Brigantia were among the most terrific highlights of my trip Across The Pond back in 2008!

And to think, I would not have known either of you if it hadn't been for RfM!

There are so many fantastic people here in our community. Some have passed on but will not be forgotten, Kerry and Deenie among them. And there are many, many more who haven't found us yet, but will be welcomed when they do.

At the exmo meet in Birmingham, England, I realised I had met one of the attendees at my mom's house when he was on his mission!

He is from Manchester.

Ya know guys if we made a list of all the RfM handeleirs that ever stopped in here, it would run into 3 or 4 pages.

Thanks for the mammaries er you know what I meant.

And bless the bandwidth.

You're serious of course.

Where to start?

Well, for one thing there's the photo page with bunches of Joseph's bastard stepchildren as a starting point.

Guess I'm up for it if you are.

Double dare me?

I'm an RfM noob, but still well along in earthly years. Several of you RfM "old timers" would be contemporaries!

Even though I'm a late bloomer (actually a twice bloomer - see my bio), I am glad I found this place and was welcomed! Susan I/S slapped my hand a couple times (thanks!), but I learned quickly.

Thanks to Eric and his mods, certainly, but it wouldn't be the place it is without the participating masses!

Thanks all!

Thanks Eric.

I think it had been running for a year or so when I did a search on "ex-mormon" and happily stumbled on the site.

Then I noticed the message board, lurked for a little while then plunged right in!

I, a nevermo, came upon this board in 1997 in an search engine search when it evidently had been running several months (it started in 1996, from what I read).

I've visited this board over the years off and on and still find it informative, interesting, and thought-provoking with stories and people that vividly remain in my memories to this day, and seeing people from way back when who still post here!

Oh, yes, the original board software would sometimes crash and we'd visit the board to see that it was still stuck, but it would be fixed eventually with new posts coming in a great rush.

kak75 aka kak57
(can't remember which was my "name" and ended up using both)

I found this site about 4 years ago. Sure enjoy being here. And Matt...I know it's only Thursday but I'm gonna enjoy a rum and Coke in a few minutes as I enjoy the bright sunshine here.

Rum and Coke on a Thursday?

As my father in law would say: "Proper job!"

It's a West Country expression, he spent so many years in the Royal Marines in Plymouth that he sounds like a Plymouthian, now!

Well since you've been here a bit longer than I, let us match wits and see where it goes........

>>>In the begining, there was no effective antidote to a peculiarly pernitious pathogen.

An honorable and humble man heard fortuitous fate knock at his door.

Wherefore ERIC K who shrank not from destiny's call hath sounded the call which unites us all.

Guess that's a start.

So who's next?

I started coming here in the hay day of T-Bone, Deenie the dreaded single adult, and Wine country Girl(just saw was post recently from Wine country girl). I probably started here 8 years ago. Wow!

A safe place for my mind which calmed my fears and confusion.
I spent several years away and now visit off and on. Had the name allpau for a couple of years or more.

Mormon problems brought me here (a few years ago)... and I return to share, read, learn, laugh (and occasionally cry) and gasp!

Lots of great folks, and incredible stories, you won't find anywhere else.

It's Friday!
