Haven't been to church for a long time. Are they still talking about Joseph Smith, or is he going to be phased out? I just can't see the church putting emphasis on Smith any more, considering all that has come out about him. Do they still put his picture up in the wards anywhere? Do they still teach lessons about him? I just can't see Smith getting the royal treatment anymore. Will he go the way of the Dodo? (comparison intended).

They can't get rid of Smith. He's the reason for the whole scheme.

Its just as Smithy as before. They might de-emphasize him for missionary work and pubic relations purposes but inside the church he's just as powerful as before.

Most members are blissfully unaware of his shady past. They just think its all anti-Mormon lies or distortions.

Do Seventh Day Adventists still talk about Ellen White? The SDAs I know talk about Jesus; never mention Ellen White.
