This is why they are changing their rhetoric from "I know the BofM is true" to how it makes them feel and how it changes lives. A little slight of hand and all is well is Zion.
Faith in a proven fraud is a representation of stubbornness or contempt depending on whether it is coming from someone that seeks power or gain over another or that gains comfort in feeling special through the approbation of others.
This is not the sign of someone that has dedicated their life to proving all things and holding fast to that which is good. Said another way it is the effort to declare the Truth, ignore all proof.

Sadly, I don't think so as he is so caught up in the shelf he sits with all of his admirers below sending accolades by the dozens up to him. It is his drug of choice that keeps him in a state where he can ignore any hinges of guilt that might sneak into his psyche.
I think the church/cult is crawling over and around this book of theirs as fast as they can, and then end by descending through their tunnel of feelings and faith.
The peons are being told that these are the banners they need to hold on to - these will carry the day - faith and feelings. Ignore the BofM's historicity. Ignore the DNA evidence. Ignore. Ignore and ignore some more. Just have faith and pray for the right, tender feelings that as a person of righteousness you will be given. If you do not get them, why you are not being righteousness enough. So fast, read the book once more, and pray, pray, with a sincere heart, and you will receive that special feeling.
