My step daughter and husband were married at Napili. They loved it so much they have now moved their and live less than a mile from where they were married.
If the wedding is before end of April the whales will still be there.
There may be beautiful locations elsewhere but not more so.
I'm hoping that DH and I can renew our wedding vows (25th anniversary) somewhere in Hawaii.
DH has never been keen on water sports, but I was born and raised in SoCal, and I'm sure there is sea-water in my veins.
I don't know if this creaky old body can still stand on a surfboard after all these decades, but I sure as heck plan to try!
And I'm pretty sure I can talk DH into snorkeling. He is a good swimmer, and snorkeling is easy enough if you have good equipment. And seeing all that beautiful underwater life - absolutely enchanting. I think once he sees how marvelous it is, I'll have difficulty hauling him back to shore.
Anyway, it should be romantic if we are liberal with the sunscreen! (Heh!!!)

We are both involved in attending workshops at Human Awareness Institute in Northern Cal, which I think has brought us closer together then we ever imagined. Amazing work and something I like to share with my friends. I have come a long way's since my exodus from Mormonism and I have much to be grateful for. Yes, that includes ROM.

I just Googled the Human Awareness Institute and discovered, to my complete surprise, some names amazingly familiar to me!!!
People who have long been associated with Joseph Kramer(*) (many were trained by him), whose work I have been following for many years (some of which work, in particular, has been devoted to healing the deep wounds of Mormonism in those who were raised LDS, or later became LDS).
So...this was like Old Home Week to me.

I am talking about JOSEPH Kramer, of the San Francisco Bay Area...the ex-Jesuit who became a sex and psychological educator. I have his doctoral thesis, and it is one of the most important works in my personal library.)

I actually work for Fairmont Hotels so we are getting a killer deal in Maui. On the subject of HAI, I remember thinking, this is the way I wish things were in Temples, being in the room of love. Stan Dale was the actual founder of the Workshops. I love the slogan "Creating a World Where Everyone Wins." Harbin Hot Springs is a magical place for them. No worries, this is not a cult or religion. It did help me recover from Mormonism though.
