My Mormon roommate who I have been working on for a year...

thinks gay marriage should still be illegal, and all this talk of social progress is why we got Trump. I thought I was making more progress than that. Sad. This discussion was had in context of the NYTimes headline about Monson’s death that dogged on him for resisting women’s ordination and gay rights.

There's probably some truth in that, though it's clearly not the only factor.

Still...that's not a reason to deny gay people civil rights, is it?
