Buried treasure found in French abby

My son-in-law (who is also out of the church) just sent me this article on KSL.com: Archaeologists find buried medieval treasure in French abbey". This was announced by an archaeology team from Lyon University. More than 2,000 gold coins and objects have been found near Cluny Abbey. The pictures are beautiful. Meanwhile, there is nary a Nephite treasure to be found in all the land, in either North or South America. Maybe they need to start digging underneath the tabernacle in Salt Lake City? :-D

That's an exciting discovery. Does it become state property by virtue of where it was found and by whom?

It has to be worth a fortune.

Aw, man. Instead of tracting for gullible people to convert to mormonism while I was on my mission in France, I should have been digging up cathedrals. *That* might have paid off!
