The Wishbone - OT

With Thanksgiving around the corner, how many follow the turkey tradition of the wishbone? Two people each take one side and pull. The one who ends with the larger piece is supposed to get his/her wish. Well, I have two brothers and they would each grab before I could - so I claimed the untouched middle. Twice in a row I won!

Similarly, in an engineering class my tensile specimen did not break where it began getting thin, but at another point. It turns out that there is a small chance that the first point of growing weakness becomes stronger.

My wife likes to do it. It's actually kind of funny, 'cause every year my raised-without-religion-and-with-reason kids tease her about being superstitious :)
