So, Mormons - why didn't Lehi mention any of the fauna of the Pacific?

The "Book Of Mormon" is fiction.

Even if someone had a capable vessel and a magical navigation device that would enable them to sail across the vast Pacific Ocean you would still need food, fresh water, repair stops, etc.

If you have been to the South Seas you've seen these guys...

That was the jaredites helping god get animals to the Americas after the flood.

Lehi detailed everything, including picking up plural wives in Tahiti. It was Joseph that lost the 116 pages
