She's doing a show at a casino in Northern California so I wondered if she was still a TBM. Anyone know her callings?

She's still very active as far as I have seen. Even the Osmonds performed at casinos. That's got nothing to do with her church activity.

Nevada Mormons work at casinos all of the time. A number of casinos won't admit it, but they prefer hiring LDS folk because they are less likely to steal or look for opportunities to steal.

I've yet to see any actual statistics to back that claim up ("they are less likely to steal"). Of course, mormons would love it if that were true, but it's probably not -- mormons are just like everybody else (other than being seriously deluded and wearing magic underwear).

I hope Gladys hasn't given too much $$$ to the mormon church. I'd rather see her live in a glorious, luxurious lifestyle until she dies.

I hope she isn't silly enough to leave any of her assets to the church when she dies. That would make me sick. She earned her money, and I hope she keeps it and keeps it in her family. TSCC doesn't deserve a penny. She's already given them more than they deserve by being associated with them.

Gladys,if you read this, KEEP your wealth in your family. The mormon church are greedy blood suckers who don't deserve a penny from your work and talent.

You don't understand tithing at all, do you? Of course she isn't giving all of her wealth to the church. Don't be an idiot!

The church tries to get its blindly obedient sheep to will their estates to it. The richer the better.

This isn't about tithing. Looks like you're the idiot.

And stop pulling up old threads just for the opportunity to make a damn fool of yourself.

A couple of Mormons came to the door, to see my father, who was dying. We knew them from our old ward, and had seen their commercials that they did for KBYU, to try to convince elderly people to remember BYU in their wills. This couple were well-dressed, and smooth as silk. I was told it was a private meeting, so I could only hear from the next room, and all the talking was coming from the man in the cashmere coat. When the couple finally left, it was very late at night, and my sick father had caved in and written a huge check to BYU, which he immediately regretted doing. (Our family already had established two scholarship grants for BYU law school, and BYU business school.) At least he didn't leave his estate to them, which is what they were after!

The next morning, my father put a stop-payment on the check.

Don't say that the Mormon church doesn't come after your money! They do so very aggressively, and underhandedly. We have all had experiences similar to this. I consider 10% of your gross income to be highway robbery! Mormon crooks give no accounting of where that precious 10% goes. 10% of $500,000 is Fifty-thousand-dollars, every freaking year, which is what my father used to tithe to the Mormon cult, and it wasn't enough for them Gladys Night probably makes more than that.

"Tithing settlement" is a crime.

What you describe is Elder Abuse.

Those charlatans ought to be reported to the police; only knowing if they live in a predominantly LDS community they will look the other way like nothing happened.

Be fun to see a study as to whether the prosperity gospel makes Mormons more honest or bigger shysters...hardly a week goes by without some joker being charged with skull duggery...I'd bet only a handful ever get caught...if you really score big the church can use your talents in the chorus of apostates...right Quentin?..right???..I'd venture a guess that by and arge poor Mormons are quite honest...that's why they're poor...and will stay poor
