I'm writing this on a piece of paper...

I'm writing down on a piece of paper that I am a Prophet.

Since I am a Prophet, I can write scripture.

The words that I just wrote is scripture.

The scripture says that I am a Prophet.

Therefore, I'm a Prophet.

Hey! That's good enough for me to write articles for FAIR!

Maybe I should apply for a position there!

.... wait... did Joseph Smith do the same ridiculous thing?

It can't be...

But, how on earth could the BoM contain a prophecy about the very Joseph Smith when it was written centuries earlier than he was born? Because it was you know. Like, for sure. Really. I swear.

I literally laughed out loud when I read that in the Book of Mormon. When I gleefully shared the joke with my wife, she was perplexed because she had taken it as proof that Joseph Smith truly was destined/foretold to be a prophet.
