Jesus gave up his weekend for our sins.

I saw this the other day and I wouldn't dare share it on Facebook because it would upset too many of the "friends".


Jesus died for our sins. But he was only dead for 3 days. So what did he sacrifice? His weekend. Jesus gave up his weekend for our sins.

More like 36 hours. Sunset Friday (6:00pm) to sunrise Sunday (6:00am).

And according to the Mormon version of things, he was up and preaching most of that time.

. . . and the "three days" were Friday evening, Saturday, and
Sunday morning. So more like a day and a half.
