Summer Solstice

Today is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere - a time to celebrate ! Also, I remember that it was the day I landed in Sweden in 1977 for the beginning (minus the 7 weeks in the LTM) of my mission...that was a pretty distressing time for me.

The entire time that I was there, I noticed that the Swedish people for the most part seemed quite happy the way they were. My job was to try to convince them that they should change. Damn.

Joy in life & existence
Oh if we could thrive like the summer weeds
Or live with the exuberance of say a zucchini

Given the temperature today, I'm quite happy that tomorrow will have just the teeniest bit less sunlight than today will :)
