I haven't seen the play, but it seems to me almost every religion has been poked fun at. I guess she thinks we should all be like radical muslims and kill people for poking fun at religion or make threats if someone makes a movie like The Interview.
The Mormons are so busy trying to decide if they want to be the most persecuted people or the "I'm just like you" even though I'm a Mormon people that they haven't noticed that they are in fact the perpetrators not the victims.
They may be odd enough to easily skewer in a humorous way, but at the end of the day they are a danger to your heart, mind, and soul.
Well, you know it's really not fair that of all the religions who refer to themselves as saints, who claim to have a prophet who talks to God for everyone--not just the so-called saints, who practice organizational discrimination, who are cultish, who ban people from their own children's weddings, who claim that they will ride in on a white horse and save the country, etc., that the mormons are the only ones who are picked on.
How unfair. Why isn't every church who does this poked fun at equally? Oh, wait.
Thanks. But of course, it's not original. I'm just borrowing it from all the people who say it.
One time long ago--you know, when I had an original thought--people were like, "What's he saying? I'm pretty sure that's apostasy or something. Perhaps even heresy." So I'm through with the original thought. Just don't make sense to do no original thinking. Thinking's been done, dammit.
