I stay up at night hoping that the Church will finally not only loudly and aggressively excommunicate, but crucify, John Dehlin. Unfortunately, that seems too good to be true.
For years and years, this has been building up, and now, the Empire is finally about to strike back. I hope that the Church will be utterly merciless and punitive, to show its true colors to the world.
In less than two weeks, we'll finally take another step forward toward the forced modernization of the Church.
I sincerely hope that John will be moved to give the court a dressing down and the proceedings are made public. I hope the event could be captured in video for publication or hope that the press will be present and thousands who say they support/agree with his stand show up in support. I am John.
