What kinds of things are asked of Mormons as repentance for their sins?

To never do it again. Maybe they're told to read the BofM more often, but I don't know.

The only time I "repented" of my "sins" was when I was leaving on a mission and my bishop asked if there was anything I should confess.

I said that I looked at porn on the internet. He said it was no big deal and that he used to as well before he was Mormon.

They have to say 5 of these and they are forgiven:

Hail Joseph, full of bunk.
Our Lard is with you.
Blessed are you among conmen,
and blessed is your pursuit of the womb.
Jesus!
Fraud Joseph, Master of dupe,
play with us sinners,
now and until the hour of your death.
Amen.

To partake of the sacrament. Confession is not required for Mormon persecutors it seems, (it is discouraged by interpretation of keeping certain temple covenants) nor does it provide a cessation of continual oppression.

Once when I finished confessing to a bishop with my wife in the same room, he looked disappointed and half expected something else. He said startled, "...that's it?" I asked him, "was there something else you wanted me to confess to?" This was during a time when they were spreading slander about me committing adultery because a downstairs neighbor in Orem overheard another tenant in the building next to mine getting trampolined by a [gym rat], and falsely accused me of it even as I was at home with my wife.

So the Bp didn't care about what I had confessed; I think he primarily wanted dirt on adultery (to justify all of their disinformation and passive aggressiveness towards me concerning it) but ended being disappointed.

They take the sacrament [repeatedly unworthily] to rectify that, not a single confession necessary to wounded parties for their secret combinations' character assassinations

I've been told, "I'm so sorry. It'll all work out in the next life,"

And, "If you don't keep the commandments, you WILL NOT prosper in the land," emphasis added.

EDIT: in the temple you covenant to consecrate everything that you are or will be to the building up of the church. Being both interpreted and demonstrated, this apparently includes sacrificing your integrity, honesty, truth, etc. for the church
