wow! 1 vs 1 million is a significant difference...

I guess math isn't an apologist/archaelogist's strong suit. It is very telling that the Egypt Antiquity Ministry decided to halt its cooperation. It will eventually catch up to you when you are devious, and it is catching up to them.

The church will excommunicate a historian for revealing historical facts that refute issues of mormon beliefs. But you can lie all you want if your lies are faith promoting toward mormon beliefs and the church doesn't seem to care about that. That's why the mormon church is a cult and not a legitimate religion. They're in the business of making money off of their lies. For someone who is indoctrinated enough, the truth won't pull those people back to reality when the person learns the truth any way. So overall, the church wins. Outsiders who call the church on the bs are considered to be anti-mormons, fallen, gentiles, whatever works. There are no ethics. The way the church sees it, they literally represent god. That's how the church works.

No archaeologists in their right mind would publish such finds until excavations are near finished, much less give detailed info on where the site is.

There is not enough man power available to guard the site against the inevitable looters.

A million of anything from a small area at the point in history should be automatically suspect. When the one million figure came up my BS detector went off. Hyperbole tends to have a certain hollow ring to it.

Hey, you apostate fuckers just don't get it! The BYU mission saw the mummies with their spiritual eyes. To paraphrase Hugh Nibley, Egyptologists simply don't know the manner in which the BYU professors determined one million mummies. See, their spiritual excavation revealed one million mummies. That our story and we're sticking to it! Professor Boner!

Why can't the church seem to see the spiritual dollars with which people pay their tithing? No... only real dollars count. No dollars in, and you can't see your loved ones getting married in the temple. Spiritual anything is the exclusive territory of the cult. They set the rules. And only real cash is accepted.

There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Think of the censoring of the Rodin exhibit at BYU. Most only remember it was there - not censorship.
