The FLDS church today is how the LDS church functioned 100 plus years ago. The first FLDS leaders did exactly what Brigham Young did and fled to remote areas so he could practice his disgusting treatment involving women and children in secrecy.

When pressure came down on LDS leaders to end polygamy the leaders in power stopped these overt practices which led other leadership factions to leave Salt Lake and begin those same practices in new places like Canada and Mexico.

Anyone who is curious about what it was like trying to survive the chaotic criminal that was Joseph Smith, needs to imagine living in Short Creek, and under the rule of Jeffs.

As long as LDS upholds Smith, they uphold Jeffs. There is no difference.
