TSCC own definition: "Priestcraft. Men preaching and setting themselves up for a light to the world that they may get gain and praise of the world; they do not seek the welfare of Zion."

A dictionary definition: "a derogatory reference to priests who use their influence to control secular or political affairs"

Using either definition, the leadership in TSCC is involvee more in priestcraft than in the priesthood. A calling in the bishopric and stake presidency is often more about the arrogance and social climbing of the person called than a concern for providing spiritual guidance and counseling for the members. One of the many hazards of a lay clergy and calling those with no formal training.

I like this definition of priestcraft.
"the scheming and machinations of priests : priestly intriguing"

You are correct to note that what passes for service, compassion, and guidance tilts to the priestcraft definition. The carrot and stick approach to doctrinal compliance makes this the reality.
