I've hung out here for a few years, mostly just reading. Sometimes posting under different user names. If I told you who I was, you'd know of me. You'd know my "accomplishments" - for lack of a better term - among the LDS culture. However, for the time being, out in the open like this, I am choosing to lay low.

I got my letter yesterday informing me my name has been officially removed from the records of the church and I just wanted to express it among those who understand the significance.

A friend asked me how I felt... Truthfully, no different than just not going; the only difference was, I took away their power, or perceived power, over me: to track me down, to try to talk to me, or even discipline me. That was the most important thing in removing my name.

Thanks to everyone here and this site...

CONGRATS! You are free of the CULT! Celebrate!!!!!

If you were a famous TBM, perhaps you may want to consider going public eventually (when you are ready) just because other TBMs will follow suit and it will help them.

Every person who embraces honesty and reality in lieu of the cult -- famous or not -- is worth celebrating :)
Congratulations on choosing honesty and reality.
You've done yourself and the world a big favor!

If it was Dallin, I'd be for stuffing that mofo right back in. We don't want him.

There ain't no way it's an Osmond.

TSCC has been too good to/for them.

I'm betting it's someone who's famous for a reason that has nothing to do with the church. Or John Dehlin.

I am going to stay off this thread now. Otherwise it will drive me nuts.

It's the first of the Three Nephites!

The other two are still in denial. Or is it Denali? They're in Denali and haven't sent in their letters yet. Yeah, that's it.

It would be very embarrassing if you are Marie Osmond since her breasts were a hot topic here a few months back. But if it is you, sorry! We didn't mean it.. I mean we did mean it... I mean... Ok I'll shut up now...

Oh and whoever you are, congrats!!

You guys are all wrong. It's Harrison Ford, I know he's mormon because my dad's wifes sin's friends brother's zone leader baptized him about 20 years back.

If Kate Kelly hadn't already been excommunicated, I'd hope it's her. Kate fought the good fight but the mental gymnastics she was going through as an intelligent and vibrant woman, were mind boggling (from the outside looking in).

Maybe you're her husband or JD. In any case congratulations!

Blessings to you and yours. It's still a journey. Life is always a journey. Hugs

Don't do that shit. Post just as you did but leave out the first paragraph. Don't flash your LDS bonafides and not tell your name.

Weak sauce Aaron Eckhart.
