Apparently this is as close as these two can get to "popular culture" that doesn't include classic MTV cartoons.
It is so crazy and the comments are so crazy. It was very entertaining.
"Although rejected as heretical by many traditional Kabbalists, the Kabbalah Centre and other similar movements have transformed Luria’s teachings from the secret doctrine of a small 16th century messianic Jewish mystical group into an international form of New Age popular culture that’s now followed by Hollywood celebrities."

And then there are the comments. WOW! Apparently "empiricists" don't allow for the sense of "site."

Virtually all critics--both non-believers and orthodox Christians--deny the power of God to reveal himself to man. And so they are left to explain Christianity in terms of those "quarreling bishops at Nicea", and to define Mormonism in terms of Salem Witch Trials and the Second Awakening--even though the latter profiles are the exact thing, according to Joseph Smith's own words, that bothered him in the first place. And so they will remain until they grant God back the power to reveal himself--even through the Holy Spirit, available to all that will humble themselves and bend to His will. Yet doing so requires not only a leap of faith, but also must fit the parameters of an empirical experiment subject to peer review--IF one follows the exact conditions required to produce the same results others have discovered. The obvious problem is that most empiricists will not allow any condition beyond the five senses to enter the experiment, chiefly that of observation through the sense of sight.
That leaves them in the quagmire of continual searching for the truth, and never finding it."
