Having been a victim of a turbo tbm wife destroying our marriage and family over disputed doctrines that are now coming to light in the essay's...
I'd like opinions on content for a bumper sticker to display on my commute on I-15 in the vortex of Mormonism... SLC.

My first thought was

"Families aren't forever if you're inactive"

or

"Families aren't forever if don't Pray-pay and obey"

I'd like to hear yours

I always wondered ,, what if you don't like your family?

Not all families are the kind that you want to go home to, if you are physically or emotionally bruised or torn. They may only add to the damage. Or they may have caused it in the first place.

I remember asking the missionaries when they were teaching me, "Do you HAVE to be with your family forever, even if you don't want to be?" (Thinking of my mother, who was an abusive, disagreeable, alcoholic pill.) They looked at me as if I were speaking in a different language. And maybe I was.

My brother and his family are struggling with this. Too bad because they seem very close knit and if they could give up LDS Inc. then their family can be just as it is without afterlife threats to ruin their happiness.

Hey Cokeisokaynow, I don't have a pithy response to your bumper sticker, but just wanted to lend my support to you. The greatest impediment in my 30+ year marriage is the fucking church. My kids (all active TBMs) love me, but my wife's heart is with the cult and her TBM parents. Although it's not pithy--Families aren't forever if you put a corporation before people. Boner.

got 10 more years than you on the marriage in zootown..when
The Church won that battle but I hope to win the war by example
to my kids and grandkids. Re read the temple marriage ceremony
for a reality check on how the F'n Church can F' up your marriage.

How about: Bigamous Families are Forever.

That could create road range in Utah.

How about.

Doesn't sound so "friendly" does it?

"Signs and Tokens 4 Sale" would make another good bumper sticker or window decal :) Or one with a graphic showing the "patriarchal grip"
