I'm having a really bad day. My husband went AWOL and sent me a text saying he will be back Wednesday and we need to work out the dissolution of our marriage. Two hours later his home teachers came knocking. I've told them on many occasions that they need to call first, to no avail. The convo went as follows:
HT: Hi Mrs. X, how are you doing?
Me: Not great, thanks for asking. Mr. X just sent me a chickenshit text that he wants a divorce. I know he's a "Great Guy", but he's a little off.
HT: Ooohhhhh, that's too bad! I'd there anything we can do?
Me: Well, you don't have a gun on you, do? I sure as hell know not to ask you for liquor! I guess not. In that case, have a nice day!
To be honest, I feel kinda bad. I'm sure they walked away saying "what the fetch!"

I feel like fetching crap right now. It's amazing how much this hurts.

I'm so sorry for your troubles. Start getting recommendations for the best divorce lawyers in your vicinity. If you hire a good one first, that lawyer will not be available to your husband. And make copies of all your financial records (tax returns, bank statements, insurance, investments, etc.) and put those copies in a safe place.

'Second Principle' of the LDS gospel:

hold yourself out to be a Wedge between people, Especially between family members, 'for the sake of the church'.

>"Divorce can be justified only in the rarest of circumstances." James Faust Ap 2007 Ensign

>"The strength of any community lies in the strength of its families. The strength of any nation lies in the strength of its families."—President Gordon Hinckley

>“This growing plague (divorce) is not of God, but rather is the work of the adversary.” “TRUE TO THE FAITH A GOSPEL REFERENCE” © 2004, page 49

>"The family is the most important unit in time and in eternity and as such, transcends every other interest in life." (Howard W. Hunter, Ensign - November 1994)

liars.

Good thoughts of comfort to you.

I don't know what to say about the clueless HTers. What fools.

A lot to process. Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed.
Hang in there. Is counseling anything you have done or are interested in doing either alone or with spouse?
