For some strange reason, I am interested in buying a couple sets of new garments - mostly for collectible purposes. I haven't attended church in a year and turned my recommend in. However, I've heard that they can look up your membership number and if you're endowed, they will sell you garments.

Anybody done this? I may need to at least wear a jacket, so they don't visually garment-check me.

Go ahead and call me crazy for wanting to bother. I know.

They want you wearing garments, as long as you are an endowed member you can buy garments. I dare say the majority of endowed members don't have current recommends and still wear garments. eta: You will be asked to give them your birthdate, they will look you up with that.

Yeah, that is strange alright. To each their own, I suppose.

When my wife bought most recently, she had to put in her member number. This was using the online site. We don't live near a distribution center.

I think you'll have to convince someone you know to buy for you.
