Was in Calgary this afternoon for my wife's medical appointment so stopped at Moxie's for supper...I had their loaded burger and baked potato soup (and 2 pints of ice cold Shocktop Belgian White) and my wife had lobster and prawn linguini and a margarita...all yummy....just got home and we're tired.

Jealous, I love Moxie's. We were talking about that place in our staff meeting this week. There is one really near our Toronto office.

We had good, old fashioned hamburgers, buns, lettuce etc. Nothing fancy because both kids had concerts tonight with their bands. If you'd asked me last night, I could have told you about a more impressive tortellini and sausage soup, which I got off Facebook and it was actually really good.

Steak, beans, and Caesar salad. Steak and beans is a Rhode Island custom, and my dad was born there. So to me it is a comfort food. I still have my dad's (now) antique bean pot. Rhode Islanders also like to put vinegar and salt on their French fries instead of ketchup or fry sauce. If you go to a hot dog stand in the summertime, there will be a bottle of vinegar on the counter along with the other condiments.

"Rhode Islanders also like to put vinegar and salt on their French fries" - just like the British (and it's very nice :-).

The French put Mayonnaise or Dijon mustard on theirs.

A small steak and lima beans. I'm on a very low carb diet. My blood glucose is back in a good range! I'm restricting calories too. Diabetes will be beat.
