Many were terrified of breaking any "rule" for fear of "losing the spirit"

I had an excellent response for them...

Me: Do you think Jehovah's Witnesses have the spirit?

Them: Of course not! they dont have the true gospel like we do.

Me: Yet they get converts all the time, right.

Them: Well, they mislead people...

Me: But nonetheless they get converts without the spirit, so if we dont get converts, its not because we dont have the spirit, its something else...

Them: ...

Got the wheels turning on a couple of them, but they always put the brakes on after a couple of minutes.
