Meet at 10:00 AM

The Historic Railroad Trail is easily accessed near the Alan Bible Visitor Center. Take US 93 through Boulder City, left at Buchanan Boulevard toward Hoover Dam and turn left into Lake Mead Recreation Area and park. You do not have to pay for this event. There are ticket booths where paying customers get tickets to enter the Lake Mead area but you will park in the area provided. This is something the kids can enjoy. We will probably not hike the entire trail as it is 3.7 miles one way.
After, there is a park nearby where there are sometimes lots and lots of big horn sheep grazing. The kids AND adults always love to see that.

And after, if you are still up to it, we can go to Boulder City Brew Pub and throw down some micro-brews made right there and named after various Hoover Dam structures. They have some food available as well and a nice shaded patio where we can all hang out. Feel free to bring lunches if that's your thing.
