An excerpt from a recent stake presidency letter encouraging members to attend stake temple week:

"Have you ever considered that your temple recommend serves as a passport to the celestial kingdom, and that the temple is literally an embassy of that realm on Earth? Think on that for a moment. To spend a week walking nigh unto heaven, doing work of eternal significance, and bringing that experience back with you into the world... How might that change your life?"


Hmmmm, do you really think the members would need such a prompt if stake temple week was such an amazing experience? Also if you're telling members that the temple is an embassy for the CK on earth, you're probably going to inadvertently demotivate some of the members who were hoping for something a bit better after all that 'enduring to the end'.
