How long were you expected to wait at the door?

Was driving home from work recently and was caught at the traffic lights.Spotted two missionaries waiting at the door of the house next to my car.It was lashing raining.Not sure how long I was caught at the lights,maybe about 2 minutes but it felt like forever just sitting there watching them awaiting a reply.

So my question is,how long did any of you former missionaries wait at a door?

They knocked & no one answered?

If they have a grain of common sense and civility, they should assume within a minute that they need to leave. Either someone is avoiding them or no one is home.
