Anyone here served in Russia on their mission???

I am going to Russian to teach English. No, I did not go to Russia on my mission. I went to California. If anyone reading this served in Russia, I ask for your ADVICE on living as an American in Russia, below in this thread. Thank you.

Not a mission but -

My husband has been there several times for work and LOVES it. It is the only place in the world he has ever gone and gained weight in just a couple of weeks :) Loves the people too. Colder than you can possibly imagine so spend as much as you can afford on top shelf cold weather gear.
