And I don't just mean photos. My eyes hurt after viewing these. $2 million 100 years ago became $2 billion + renovating the old one.

Condos from The Gordo anyone?

Mark me down for the stuffed duck fragua. What the Duck! I'll have to have some Grapes a' Loud Laughs from The Lord's Vineyard for dessert since the duck is so high in saturated fats!

"I was given the opportunity to photograph the 100 Year Anniversary of Hotel Utah which is now the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was special for me because the first presidency of the LDS church was there along with many other leaders and great people."

Let's dissect that paragraph shall we? So many mistakes, so little time

Please do.

On another note, God's "Health Code" is all about eating wrong and avoiding the wine that would help with that wrong eating.

But Mormons like highly saturated stuff. In The Name of Cheeses, Amen.

"great people" one point
"special" two points
"first presidency" (notice, no mention of a prophet) three points
"joseph smith memorial" 4 points for being idiotic
"given the opportunity" (she did it for free) 5 points

LOL! Great job to you!

And when she comes here looking for what we've said about her work, she can collect her score.

Are these LDS folks?

Have not been back in decades, but seem to remember them looking far healthier.
Not to knock on them, but it's just these people kinda look a little sick. More than just body, a sort of un-well-ness that is deeper than skin.

I think it is the photography. Doing what she did in processing them can lead to a "zombie" look if the light ain't right.

On a high point, the lighting in this shoot was good, dare I say, Celestial.

The leader of the no-so-free world of Mormonism is one of them, so yeah.

You can tell she's a professional by the black background.

Who's the guy that looks like Ed McMahon?

The hoity-toity Mormon elite dine courtesy of the tax/tithing paying members. How nice. I wonder if the attendees will put the tables and chairs away, sweep the floor clean up the dishes and take the trash out like the members do at their ward dinners. Tee-hee-hee.

This is what Utah has instead of Hollywood. It's still a group of rich, privileged people congratulating each other for being famous and wealthy. Note the many wine glasses, formally folded napkins and tiny containers that look like jewelry boxes (gifts?). Fine linens were attached to the back of the chairs.

There's a word for these people, and that word is owners.

The multi level chair ruffle..TACKY. It looks like the dress of a turn of the century 'ho. And then there are the chair coverings that look like a piece of sheer negligee.

Of course, 'hos and negligees IS the CORRECT WAY to celebrate Joe the 'ho.

Anyone see the story about how saturated fat was demonized by a politician that had interests in wheat? Since people stopped eating animal fats and switched to grains, obesity has exploded.

Also, the food pyramid is no longer useful. They got it wrong. It's sugars that make people fat, not fats and oils.

DING DING DING.

My God, how is it possible people still believe saturated fat is harmful? I thought surely everybody would have known the story of Ancel Keys by now.

This is a very white group --old white guys and their wives. And who are the important people/leaders? I saw no one that most of the world would recognize or even most of the U.S. As a long time outsider to the fold, I didn't recognize most of them. (or care)

It didn't look Hollywood to me, or New York, or even Omaha. It had a very time warp appearance, very old, very white, stuffy, unsophisticated ideas about Heaven (design by Celestial kingdom, INC) "Golly, gosh, Pa and Ma, ain't it purty?"

Is it just me but do older Mormon women prefer really short hair?
