When are missionaries supposed to have P-day?

So i went to the library to check out some books and saw 6 or so sets of missionaries. On my mission pday was monday? So did I run into a bunch of lazy elders goofing off?

It's whatever day the mission decides. Except Sunday, of course :)

On my mission in France, it was Thursday. Here in my town in CA, it's Tuesday. I see the mishies in the town library on Tuesdays using the computers to send e-mail home asking for money, and to blog about how happy they are (snicker)...

It stands for preparation day. It's the closest thing missionaries get to a day off. It's when they got to shop and do laundry and relax a bit... until 6 pm when they have to get back to the grind.

used to be D-day, standing for Diversion, but Lord Knows... it's ungodly to Divert missionaries away from their sacred callings.

laundry, shopping, haircuts, that kinda stuff. Actually only supposed to be until 5:00 pm, as I recall: Great Lakes Mission, (mondays).

I had some companions, we were always at the library.

Always goofing off.

Playing games, listening to music.

Whatever, I grew to really enjoy library time.

Lazy? Maybe... sure beat the hell out of tracting.

mine was on Wednesday 97-99 in eastern europe.

Mission in northern Europe 2002-2004. First year we had p-day on Tuesdays. Switched halfway through to Mondays. I remember being annoyed because the museums were generally closed on Mondays. So I started napping instead.
