in Reno. While talking with one of my old shipmates, his wife let slip that they are LDS. I respond with a remark of how I used to be LDS and had been resigned for about twenty years. She wanted to know what had happened. My response to that was "Stuff." I didn't really go into any particulars and then we talked about our church experiences in a nonconfrontational way. After all we had fought together in combat. I was LDS while there and at that time he was a nonmember. He was unaware that there were LDS in our unit. Later he converts and starts on a Mormon rise. Eventually he was a bishop. Nice folks and I'll see them again next year. Oh, funny thing, they won the two bottles of wine door prize.

Haha! What were the chances of them winning the wine? Glad you can still be friends. You've shared a lot of experiences. Good to see religion didn't get in the way.

We were the only Mos there.
