Now that the church has admitted it has made mistakes, isn't it time the tscc follow it's own advice and "repent" for it's past misdeeds, especially since even Mitt Romney believes that corporations are people and we all know the tscc is a large real estate corporation

First step would be to tell us what the mistakes are and apologize to those offended. Was it african-americans, the LGBT community, exmos, WHO? You're sincerity is in question unless you apologize. Have you ever apologized, for ANYTHING?

Secondly, you need to restitute for your wrong doings. Financial renumeration would be a minimum for many of the easily identifiable "mistakes".

Thirdly, you need to resolve to not do the behavior ever again. Along with this, a minimum requirement would be to outline why the behavior was done and why it won't happen again.

Your bishops give this advice to millions of members. Why should they be listened to if you're unwilling to follow your own counsel? Come on tscc, you've already admitted mistakes. Why not come clean and finish the repentance process?

I like the concept. What I taught in the mission field were six steps to repentance. The only flaw with your arguement is that the church is way too narcissistic to actually admit to their making mistakes about anything important. The church is just like a cigarette company. To repent would require them to stop selling their cash cow products and go out of business. Monson is more about profits than about being a prophet. If the church started telling the truth and admitted to wrong doing, people might see room for positive change and they might even return and start paying tithing again. We can't have that now can we?
