After taking out my endowments I was encouraged to return to the temple often because "it may take a lifetime (or longer) to fully understand the endowment."
Upon reflection, these are the some of the things that I learned during the presentation of the endowment (and the initiatory).
It's OK for an old guy to touch me with oil near my privates.
I have to commit to completing the endowment before I know what it is.
God will not be mocked.
I am not allowed to speak evil of the Lord's annointed.
I learned three different ways to kill myself.
I am not allowed to engage in unholy or impure sexual acts (whatever that means).
Everything I have (time, talents, possessions) really belongs the the LDS Church.
The true order of prayer is really weird.
When God tells Adam to "awake and arise" he is really talking to all the men in the room who really have fallen asleep.
The most exciting part of the endowment is the race to see who can put on the robes of the priesthood first (remember to remove my shoes and put them on again).
God the Father & Jesus don't need shoes in heaven because...well they just don't need shoes.
God the Father and Jesus are white and delightsome.
It's OK to not wear your garments if you are filming the temple movie.
