I am asking for predictions. At Monson's funeral, how will his life be presented? How much will they say about his immediate encounters with Elohim? That's what he gets paid for, after all.

I'm guessing it would be similar to Hinckley's.

They'll preach how magnificent her was....how he healed the sick...changed water in to geritol...well maybe not that part...and generally reassure the sheep that he is the greatest human being to walk the face of the earth since.....GBH...just a guess...I won't be watching his dirt nap prelim...whenever it happens...

It will be JAD - just another day - for Mormons to sleep and cry and speculate.

. . . where they will be allowed to cry only--no speaking--for 15 minutes each.

This portion of the program will take 639 days to complete, followed by the closing hymn sung by an all-widow choir. "Praise to the Man Who Communes with the Weeping Widows," after which the benediction will be offered by a tape-recording of Monson praying to himself.

Nice post Steve. I like how you describe it.

Eyring will cry.

They will brag about how many temples "he built" (with everyone else's money).

They will brag about the mall (Let's go shopping!).

They will brag about how important he was (yeah...didn't he meet Obama once?)

Will they say Monson was innovative and forward thinking? (Well, he did allow Pepsi drinking....)

Will they say he was strict with his standards and high in his ideals? (Yeah...no piercings and no tattoos.)

I will always remember Monson as the "Tommy loves widows" president, though.

Or maybe the guy who wiggled his ears.... A true prophet of God.

I liked his talks and his articles in the Ensign. He seemed articulate and down-to-Earth. I thought I would like him "in real life."

Then I started veering toward apostasy, and began visiting RfM. On occasional threads about TSM, some people said that they knew others who had worked for/with him, and that he was an evil-tempered a$$hole. I felt very disappointed and let-down about that.

I must say, he hasn't proven himself especially remarkable as a profit.

Has z date been set?

Maybe they will have white smoke and black smoke. Ha like there is any question as to who the next a hole will be.
