And THAT is a memo sent out by a Cult. You will be there or find a substitute. Churches treat members as volunteers. Cults treat them as employees.

I didn't see "empty poopie diaper filled trash cans in bathrooms FREQUENTLY!". The very last time I was in an LDS chapel I found no toilet paper in the stalls and trash can overflowing. Won't ever see me darken their doors again on that assessment alone.

So each of these things only gets done once a month? Yikes.

Each week if people actually do it.

Whenever I "couldn't" fulfil my cleaning duties, and it became my responsibility to find a replacement, I would:

a) ignore any and all requests to clean when it was my turn
b) not find a substitute
c) not care

Fuck 'em

So here are the allergy catchers that are not on the list.

Vacuum the burlap wainscott walls.

Send the drapes out for cleaning. (Wonder who'd be taking down and re hanging the drapes?)

Pull out the fridge and stove in kitchen and clean underneath.

Did they mention the window sills that are up high in the rooms? Probably forgot to mention those are a 'surface' too.

Or do they dust the paintings? Or behind them?

I start sneezing just reading their list and knowing what isn't being cleaned!

Imagine if you will if someone is able to trace their emergency hospital stay due to illness/allergy back to their blessed building???? And sue??? woot!

Every time this topic comes up it just makes me sad. This awful organization continually robs people of virtually every area of joy. Including the delight of volunteering.

When our family volunteered to clean the church we attended, they showed us where all the cleaning implements were located and set us loose. We cleaned it according to how we wished it to look. And we had a great time with our little girl running wild in the big empty church.

It's one of our fondest memories of involvement at church. I doubt there are very many Mormons who will enjoy the same feeling.

Sounds like surface cleaning to me. Deep cleaning involves scrubbing corners with toothbrushes, and disinfecting surfaces.

Do they vacuum the upholstered chairs?

More evidence that the LDS Church wants to completely control the lives if its members.
