The phrase is "avoid all loud laughter," which could also apply being in situations where people are laughing at you. Best way for Mormons to do this is to stop being ridiculous..

I love that "God will not be mocked," yet I (and several of us here) mock him frequently.

One would assume that the temple words "will not be mocked" are kind of an ultimatum with something to back them up.

But the mormon god is apparently such a lilly-livered pansy that he wont back up his threat with a lightning bolt every time I call him a silly figment of American folk-lore.

I'm starting to think of shifting my auto-response to the all-too-common question "why aren't you a member anymore" to something like:

"Because I really enjoy loud laughter."
